Unfortunately the actor that played Tony must have been having trouble with his voice, because he sang off key the entire show. It actually hurt my ears to listen to him sing. I hope that no one recorded his performance for him to watch later – or maybe I hope that someone did so he would not perform in public when his voice is so strained.

My foresight was correct – I have worn out the first two and am now on the last little purse that I had as “back-up.” And every time I go shopping at any kind of store that sells purses I spend some time looking for something like this so I can prepare to buy the replacement. But I just don’t seem to be able to find anything even close to it. Makes me rather sad; it has been a very useful and versatile purse.

OK, now it is time to be counting my blessings. I’m blessed to have a car at my disposal. I’m blessed to have a cell phone to call for help when I need it. I’m blessed that I saw the flat tire before I got in the car so I did not have an accident while driving the car. I’m blessed to have AAA to call to come help me when I have car troubles. I’m blessed to have the money to buy a new tire when I need it. And I’m blessed to be able to be grateful for all of my blessings so that the challenges in life like flat tires don’t ruin my day.

My parents just recently got divorced; they have been married for 35 years. I am really saddened by this and can’t understand what happened to cause this. My dad is the one who asked my mother for the divorce and moved out of the house they have shared together for the past 20 years all in the same day. I know my mother is acting stronger than she is letting on. She hasn’t lived by herself in a very long time so I worry about how it will affect her. She has always been a bit scared of being home alone, my younger sister moved away from home last year and she didn’t even like being home alone for the few hours after she would get home from work until my day would get home. Most days she would come visit us, even though we live 20miles out of the way from her job to her house. I had her look into Mesa home security to help ease her mind. She will still visit us throughout the week but not as often.

Of course my parents tell me that I should be really glad that I had the money to pay for the repairs, and I have to reluctantly agree with them – I would have been in deep trouble if the car had broken down and I had no money to pay for it. But I still find it very frustrating that every time I think that I can have a little bit of extra money to spend on something that I WANT I end up having to use it on something that I NEED. So it’s a half-full or half-empty glass situation. As my parents would say, at least I have a glass!

If I were to suddenly come into a giant amount of money, after all of my debts had been settled, I think that I’d love to buy a recreational vehicle and drive around the country. Yes, gasoline prices are ridiculously high, but my giant sum of money would allow me the opportunity to not care about that. Criss-crossing the countryside, taking all of the scenic routes, at my leisure. That would be a dream come true.
