Don, one of our neighbors died last night. Apparently he had an unexpected cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital, but they couldn’t save him. My mother spent most of the day at Don’s house, keeping vigil with Don’s wife Betty. She came home a few minutes ago to cook up some supper and she’s going to be going back over to Don’s house with some supper for Betty. I was helping her cook supper and we were talking about how short life is and how important it is to make sure that the family is protected from financial hardship in the event of death.
