Our family loves to throw costume parties for Halloween. They think it is a great way to protect the kids from potential harm from wackos during the Halloween season. My whole family gets into the act, and we throw the party for the whole neighborhood. We spend weeks looking at what Halloween Costumes we want to wear for the party.
This year my brother has decided that he wants to wear one of the Teen Halloween Costumes of Jack Sparrow that he found Online. My father bought one of the Halloween Costumes of Hellboy that he found. I found the cutest Tinker Bell Costume that I bought! This is going to be fun!
Tonight I decided to cook something special for dinner I’d never tried before. I cooked chicken cordon bleu, rice, peas, gravy, and dinner rolls. We had company for dinner, so it was really nice to have something special like that turn out so good! I’m getting to be a pretty good cook, if I say so myself! I think cooking is actually quite a bit of fun, if you can get people to eat what you cook without acting like you’re trying to kill them!
Jason was telling me that he found a great keyboard for sale online that he has been wanting to buy for a long time. He has been putting money aside for that purchase for several months now, and he is really close to having enough money to buy it. He was hoping that his parents were going to give him enough cash as a graduation present last year to pay for it, but they decided to give him some Savings Bonds instead. (Sigh….) I guess that was their way of telling Jason that they did not want their money to go to something that they felt was “frivolous.” Sometimes parents can be really difficult to handle, you know? Jason is a very level headed young man who will go far in life. I think that he should be able to have a little bit of fun, too! “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!”
Today I was rummaging around in the basement and found my old pair of rollerblades! It has been about ten years since I’ve used them, and to be perfectly honest I had even forgotten that I had them! I rummaged around a little bit more and found the elbow pads, knee pads and helmet. I took them all outside, put them on and roller-bladed my heart out in the driveway, up and down our little cul-de-sac. I got tired pretty quickly, but I sure had fun! I’ll bet I’ll be sore in the morning!
