I was reading an article in the morning paper that on May 24th a woman was trapped inside a walk-in freezer for four hours at Smiley’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream on Halifax Street in Winslow.  She was rescued when another employee heard her screaming and called the police.  The police found her, safe but cold inside the company’s walk-in freezer where they store their ice cream.  They discovered that the handle inside the freezer was broken so that the woman could not let herself out.  The handle was repaired the next day, and the business owner faces OSHA fines.
